Yes, completely free for users. The websites and businesses that use Lockette pay for the service—you never pay a cent.

Your verification is tied to your specific device. If you get a new phone, simply visit a validator location again to get re-verified. The process takes under 60 seconds. Your old device's verification is automatically invalidated.

No—and that's by design. Your verification is cryptographically bound to your device's secure hardware and your biometric/PIN. Even if someone has your phone, they can't use your verification without your fingerprint or Face ID. This prevents minors from using adult accounts.

No problem! Lockette works with a secure PIN as well. While biometric authentication (fingerprint/Face ID) is more convenient, a strong PIN provides equivalent security for your verification.

Your base verification lasts for one year. Sessions (which require authentication) expire after a period of inactivity. You simply re-authenticate with your fingerprint or PIN to start a new session—no need to get re-verified at a location.

We're building a network of validator locations including bars, restaurants, liquor stores, dispensaries, and other age-restricted venues. The app will show you nearby validator locations. During our launch phase, locations will be concentrated in major metropolitan areas.
